O livro é o resultado de uma parceria com a FCA, sendo dividido em três partes principais:
Na primeira aborda a recente história da FCA a partir do processo de desestatização da RFFSA em 1996. Em seguida as quatro ferrovias formadoras da malha (VFCO, EFCB, EFL e VFFLB). E por fim o parque de locomotivas, apresentando todos os modelos das locomotivas diesel-elétricas, com tabelas e fotos.
Também os guindastes e as principais locomotivas alugadas pela FCA são abordados em anexos ao final da obra.
Impresso em offset em papel couche brilho, com todas as legendas em português e inglês, e tendo ao final um resumo do texto em inglês.

This book was written as a result of a partnership with the Centro-Atlântica Railroad, and it is divided in three main parts.
In the first part it shows the recent history of FCA starting from the process of privatization of RFFSA in 1996. The second part presents the four former railroads that made the FCA’s network: VFCO, EFCB, EFL and VFFLB. The last part presents the diesel motive power, with all the models and with tables and photos to the historical phases and its paint schemes.
The cranes and the main locomotives rented by FCA are also shown. All photo captions are in Portuguese and English, with a summary also in English covering the history of the railroad.
