Na foto a Estação Dom Pedro II, assim denominada por decreto do Presidente Arthur Bernardes em 1925, antes mesmo da construção entre 1936 e 1943 do moderno edifício sede da Ferrovia no Rio de Janeiro, com o maior relógio de quatro faces do mundo. A Estação Dom Pedro II não é mais a sede da EFCB, mas seu nome oficial permanece, apesar de erradamente ser chamada por alguns de Central do Brasil. Foto de João Bosco Setti.
D. Pedro II station, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, with its four-face clock, reported as the largest in the world of this type. The new station was built between 1936 and 1943 to replace the old station from the 19th Century, when the former E. F. Dom Pedro II was inaugurated on March 29, 1858, a century and half ago. Since the Republican era the railroad had the name changed to E. F. Central do Brasil, and now its main and branch lines were operated by some different private and state freight and suburban Companies. Photo by João Bosco Setti.

2008, as a Railfan and Great Railroad Photographer. His beautiful photos will

obtido. Gostaríamos muito de dispor de textos completos e amplas coleções de fotos e de mapas para enviar a
todos que nos solicitassem, mas não temos isto pronto sob medida. Podemos oferecer algo mais importante: a indicação dos caminhos para se obterem as informações, através dos links e dos endereços das instituições de pesquisa, como as associações, bibliotecas e museus.
De certo modo nosso objetivo é o de "fornecer a vara de pescar e não o
peixe".
A message to the students and researchers:
All the resources of the Memória do Trem are destined to the research and the popularization of the history of Brazilian Railroads. And as everything of important in our life, the knowledge also demands an effort to be obtained. We would like a lot of complete texts and wide collections of photos and of maps to send wall the people that they requested us, but we don't have this ready under measure. We can offer something more important: the indication of the ways to obtain the information, through the links and the research institutions, as the associations, libraries and museums. Of certain way our objective is "to supplying the fishing rod and not the fish".
